Materials

  • CR-39 (Plastic)
The industry-standard “basic” lens material. It offers the clearest plastic optics but is also the heaviest, thickest, and least scratch-resistant. Most optical retailers start pricing with this material and then offer upgrades.
  • Polycarbonate
Our standard lens material. Lighter, thinner, impact-resistant, and more scratch-resistant than CR-39. Highly recommended for children.
  • Hi-Index 1.67
Thinner and lighter than polycarbonate. Strongly recommended with an anti-reflective coating, which increases light transmission (from ~70% to 99%) and improves visual acuity.
  • Hi-Index 1.74
The thinnest and lightest option available. Ideal for strong prescriptions where minimizing thickness and weight is essential.

Anti-Reflective Coatings

  • Standard Anti-Reflective
Reduces glare from night driving (starbursts & halos), photos, and screens. Includes basic scratch resistance but lacks oil- and water-repellent properties. More prone to wear with standard cleaning. Commonly used by budget lens retailers.
  • Premium Anti-Reflective (Our Standard A/R)
Enhanced glare reduction with added smudge, oil, and water resistance. Includes UV protection, increased scratch resistance, and typically comes with a 1-year warranty.
  • Blue Blocker Anti-Reflective
Same benefits as Premium A/R, with additional blue-light filtering to reduce eye strain from electronic screens.

Light-to-Dark (Photochromic)

  • Light-to-Dark Lenses
Transition from clear indoors to dark outdoors when exposed to sunlight (the “sunglass effect”). Available in Grey, Blue, and Brown.

Polarized vs Tints

  • Polarized Lenses
The ultimate glare reduction technology. Unlike standard tinted lenses (which only reduce brightness), polarized lenses eliminate reflective glare—allowing you to see through water and other reflective surfaces. Available in Grey, Brown, and Green.
  • Tinted Lenses
Put an artistic style on your lens. Select a solid tint or gradient tint using our color reference photo: i.e. 80% Grey or 80%-20% Brown Gradient
